Nithya Pavai NK is a law student at Alliance University in Bangalore, currently in her final year of a LLB. She started LEXAIRE because she kept running into the same problem, legal content that was either written for lawyers who already knew everything, or written so loosely it was not worth relying on. She wanted to do something in between.
Before law school, Nithya spent three years studying Journalism and Psychology at Acharya Institute of Graduate Studies. Which is perhaps why she writes the way she does , less like a legal textbook and more like someone who actually wants you to understand.
She is currently interning at Rajendra Law Offices LLP in Chennai, navigating commercial litigation and discovering that courtrooms are exactly as dramatic as they look on television, just with more paperwork. Her focus is India’s DPDP Act 2023, startup agreements, and the legal questions that come up when you are building something and cannot afford a lawyer on retainer yet. She has competed at national moot courts, done paid legal drafting work for a startup, and she runs this blog because writing is genuinely how she thinks.
Nithya has a genuine interest in advocacy and has competed in several national moot court competitions as both speaker and researcher. She reached the quarter-finals at the Symbiosis National Moot Court Competition, competed at Army Law College Pune and IIMT’s national competition, and most recently participated in a trial advocacy competition in Trichy
Mooting taught her that the best legal arguments are also the clearest ones, something she tries to carry into everything she writes.
